Slideshow: Center For Applied Horticultural Research
May 27, 2009
Owners of Altman Specialty Plants, Ken and Deena Altman, are doing their part to support horticultural research by establishing their own research complex. Founded on the site of their Vista, Calif., growing operation last fall, the Center For Applied Horticultural Research (CFAHR) is a one-acre facility including indoor and outdoor growing facilities, a lab, and a conference room. The Altman's goal is to conduct research that will help all growers produce better plants, decrease costs, and maximize profits.
